No word on platforms or anything like that, but both the Wii and DS have seen Spore spin-offs thus far. We’ll keep our eyes peeled!
Looks like the official Mistwalker Twitter account has been updated with more info on The Last Story localization. Apparently, a typo was made in their original post. Here’s what the team has to say now.
Now we know that it’s going to be a much longer wait than we originally thought, but at least it sounds like the game will be localized! Thanks to NintenDaan for the heads up.

Even if you aren’t a fan of role-playing games, Dragon Quest IX probably has something for you and, unless the highly stylized anime art style turns you off, there should be absolutely no reason for you not to check this title out.
It’s funny how the game industry reacts to ROM hacking. Sometimes, companies will shut down the people that are tackling these projects. Other times, the companies involved don’t do anything at all. I mean, take a look at how Nintendo handled the fan-translation of Mother 3. They didn’t do anything to the teams involved, and they obviously knew that the project was going on. I guess, in some instances, the publishers understand that gamers are just stepping in to do what they won’t!
